Dear Minerva Local Families,
As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, Minerva High School and Middle School students were recently trained on the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (Say Something ARS). We want to ensure that all community members are aware of this valuable resource and are encouraged to use it to report any concerns.
The Say Something ARS is a crucial tool that allows students in grades 4-12 to privately and safely share concerns about safety threats or a classmate at risk of self-harm. By taking action when warning signs are observed, we can provide intervention and assistance before a crisis occurs.

MINERVA, Ohio – September 15, 2025 – Superintendent Mark Scott of Minerva Local Schools announced today that the district has received the prestigious Ohio Auditor of State Award. This honor recognizes the district's excellence in financial reporting and compliance for the fiscal year 2024.
The award was presented to Treasurer Ashley Beaumariage and her team, assistants Emily Winter and Mandy Mitchell, for their outstanding and transparent accounting practices.
"We have earned this honor several times, but it should not be taken for granted, as less than 8% of Ohio agencies that are eligible receive this award," said Superintendent Scott. "The citizens of Minerva are well served by your outstanding leadership and practices!"
A Mark of Distinction
The Auditor of State Award is presented to entities that meet the criteria of a “clean” audit report. This means the audit report contains no findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, or significant deficiencies. It also signifies that the district uses high ethical standards and best practices in its financial operations.
"Congratulations to Treasurer Beaumariage and her team for outstanding leadership," Superintendent Scott added. "At Minerva Local Schools, we continue to implement best practices and be great stewards of the resources that are entrusted to us. Ashley and her team represent our community with outstanding leadership and care."
Treasurer Ashley Beaumariage accepted the award on behalf of her department. "We are very proud and honored to receive the Auditor of State Award," she stated. "This is a team effort, and we are very excited to continue to work towards this goal every year."
Dawn Baker, the Ohio Auditor of State East Region Liaison, officially presented the award.
