Braydon capped off an outstanding career as the EBC Player of the Year, First Team All-EBC, First Team East District, and Academic All-Ohio selection. He leaves his mark on the Minerva record books, finishing first all-time in career doubles and strikeouts. Great work, Braydon! We are proud of you and your accomplishments as a Minerva Lion! ❤️🩶

Minerva Local Schools' Strong Spring 2026 Test Scores and Rising Attendance Rates: Preliminary Data

Minerva Local Schools recently received preliminary data from the Spring 2026 Ohio State Test (OST) administration; district leadership is excited about the early results!
The Ohio State Tests are standardized assessments used to measure student mastery of Ohio’s Learning Standards across grades 3–8 and high school end-of-course exams.

Minerva Local demonstrated academic growth: students scored proficient or above at a rate higher than the State average in 16 of 18 State-tested areas (with grade three results still pending). This data is an increase from Spring 2025 results, in which we were proficient or above at a rate higher than the State average in 13 of 18 State-tested areas.

The district's academic success goes hand in hand with student engagement. Driven by the district mission statement, "Every child, every minute, every day," Minerva Local Schools saw its overall student attendance rate climb to 95.9% for the 2025–2026 school year, a 2% increase over last school year. While only 2%, it is huge growth and has required regular communication and collaboration with our families.

Minerva Local appreciates the hard work of our students, teachers, administration, and support staff. Thank you to our supportive parents and community who take great pride in our students and school district.

The Interact Club is a student-led service organization sponsored by the Rotary International and supported locally by the Minerva Rotary Club. Interact gives high school students opportunities to develop leadership skills, serve their communities, build friendships, and make a difference through meaningful service projects. Members learn the value of teamwork, responsibility, and civic engagement while creating positive change both locally and around the world. 🏃‍♂️🦁 Senior Rowen Hoffee closes out an Amazing Minerva career at the OHSAA State Championships! Rowen finished 13th in the state in the 1600 meter run and earned All-Ohio honors as a member of our 4x800 relay team. This season, he was named EBC Runner of the Year in both Track and Cross Country and won EBC and District titles in the 800m, 1600m, and 4x800 relay. A dedicated leader, teammate, and competitor, Rowen helped lead the Lions to one of the most successful seasons in program history! Congratulations on an incredible career, Rowen! Thank you for everything you’ve given to Minerva Track & Field, and best of luck at Kent State! 🦁⚡️🏅We are very proud of you! Go Lions! #MinervaPride

🏃‍♀️ Junior Makenzie Beavers capped off an outstanding season with a 17th-place finish in Ohio in the 3200 meters! We are incredibly proud of all she accomplished this year. Great work, Kenzie! 🦁 🏃‍♂️⚡️ What a career for Owen Shick! ⚡️🏃‍♂️ Owen finished 13th in the 100-meter dash and 12th in the 200-meter dash at the state meet, competing against Ohio’s best. He closes his historic career as the fastest sprinter in Minerva history, holding school records in both events while also earning EBC titles and conference records during his senior season. Thank you, Owen, for representing Minerva with pride and excellence. ❤️🦁 Go Lions! 🦁💥

🔥 ALL-OHIO! 🔥🏃🏼‍♀️ Congratulations to Addison Keyser, Makenzie Beavers, Charlie Galley, and Tateum Richard on an outstanding performance in the state meet 4x800 relay! Entering the meet ranked 7th, they battled to a 6th-place finish to earn All-Ohio honors. 👏🏅 The quartet also ran a new personal record, delivering their best race of the season on the biggest stage. 💥⏱️

🔥 ALL-OHIO! 🔥🏃‍♂️ 🚨 School Record Alert!🚨 The Minerva boys 4x800 relay team of Rowen Hoffee, Anderson Scott, Tyson Fetty, and Owen Yoder delivered an incredible performance at the state meet! Ranked 10th entering the competition, they battled to an 8th-place finish, earning All-Ohio honors by just one step at the line. 👏 To top it off, they broke the school record and etched their names into Minerva history. 💥📖

🦁 It is a Great Day to be a Minerva Lion! Minerva High School Senior and National Honor Society President Kaden Knappenberger recently presented to the Minerva Rotary Club about the new Rotary-sponsored Interact Club, a student-led organization focused on community service that will launch at Minerva High School during the 2026-2027 school year. Kaden also delivered his public speaking presentation examining the benefits and challenges of the oil and gas industry, mineral rights, and their impact on small communities. His thoughtful research and professionalism highlighted important issues that affect many local residents and businesses. Congratulations to Kaden for representing Minerva High School with excellence and leadership. 🦁🚌 Minerva Bus Drivers Attend S.T.A.R.T. School Bus Safety Training

On Tuesday, June 2, our Minerva bus drivers participated in the S.T.A.R.T. School Bus Safety Program at Sandy Valley High School. Law enforcement officers provided valuable training on the most effective techniques and best practices to help keep our students safe every day.

It was a productive day of learning and collaboration that made the best bus driving staff in the state even stronger!

A special thank you to all of our bus drivers for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to providing Minerva students with the safest and best possible transportation experience. We appreciate everything you do for our students and community.

🦁 ⚾️ The Minerva Lions' historic season came to an end today as we fell to Edison 2-0 in the Sweet 16 Regional Semi Final at Harrison Central, in front of a tremendous Minerva crowd. We want to thank our amazing seniors for everything they have done for Minerva Baseball! ⚾️ This afternoon the Lions battled from the first pitch to the last out. We played outstanding defense, got another great pitching performance from Wood, grinded out tough at-bats, and put runners in scoring position throughout the game. While today's result wasn't what we hoped for, we could not be more proud of this team and what they accomplished. The 2026 Lions made history for Minerva Baseball and gave our community a season to remember. Thank you to our players, coaches, families, and fans for your incredible support!
