Minerva Local Schools Earns Prestigious Ohio Auditor of State Award
MINERVA, Ohio – July 10, 2026 – Minerva Local Schools has once again been recognized for its exceptional fiscal management. Superintendent Mark Scott announced today that the district has received the prestigious Ohio Auditor of State Award, in recognition of its excellence in financial reporting and compliance for the 2025 fiscal year.
Dawn Baker, the Ohio Auditor of State East Region Liaison, officially presented the award to Treasurer Ashley Beaumariage and her team, assistants Emily Winter and Mandy Mitchell, celebrating their outstanding and transparent accounting practices.
An Outstanding Distinction
The Auditor of State Award is reserved for entities that achieve a completely "clean" audit report. To qualify, a district's financial operations must show:
Zero findings for recovery
No material citations or material weaknesses
No significant deficiencies
A commitment to high ethical standards and operational best practices
"We have earned this honor many times, but it should not be taken for granted, as less than 8% of Ohio agencies that are eligible receive this award," said Superintendent Scott. "The citizens of Minerva are well served by the outstanding financial vision and leadership of Treasurer Beaumariage and her team!"
Superintendent Scott emphasized that the award reflects the district's ongoing promise to its residents.
"At Minerva Local Schools, we continue to implement best practices and be great stewards of the resources that are entrusted to us," Scott added. Accepting the honor on behalf of her department, Treasurer Ashley Beaumariage credited the achievement to a collaborative culture.
"We are very proud and honored to receive the Auditor of State Award," Beaumariage stated. "This is a team effort, and we are very excited to continue to work towards this goal every year."
