Mayson White, a freshman football player for Tusky Valley High School, was paralyzed after fracturing his C4 vertebra during a game on August 22, 2025, against Waynedale High School. He underwent surgery but is paralyzed, though he has some movement in his right arm. The Minerva Lions stand with Mayson and Tusky Valley during this difficult time. The Minerva Athletic Booster Club will be collecting donations for Mayson at the Varsity Football game on Friday, August 29, 2025 vs Crestwood. If anyone has an interest in donating stop by the Minerva Athletic Booster Club tents in the southwest and northeast corners of the stadium.
