Lions in Leadership: Minerva Girls Track & Cross Country Attends "She Leads" Event
MINERVA, OHβ Members of the Minerva Girls Track and Cross Country program took a break from the track today to invest in their leadership potential, participating in the Stark County ESC High Impact Conference "She Leads" event.
The powerful conference featured a keynote address from Dr. Calder, who offered the student-athletes a rare, inside glimpse into the intense life of a combat pilot. Dr. Calder shared a defining moment from her military career that tested her in ways no standard checklist could prepare her for, revealing the deeper leadership capacities required to sustain courage, clarity, and endurance when the stakes are real and the pressure is at its highest.
Through lessons forged in combat and firmly grounded in the science of Psychological Capital, the presentation provided the Minerva athletes with invaluable strategies for building mental resilience. The program's participation in the event highlights Minerva's commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes who lead both in sport and in the community.

π¦ βΎοΈ The Minerva Lions' historic season came to an end today as we fell to Edison 2-0 in the Sweet 16 Regional Semi Final at Harrison Central, in front of a tremendous Minerva crowd.
We want to thank our amazing seniors for everything they have done for Minerva Baseball! βΎοΈ
This afternoon the Lions battled from the first pitch to the last out. We played outstanding defense, got another great pitching performance from Wood, grinded out tough at-bats, and put runners in scoring position throughout the game.
While today's result wasn't what we hoped for, we could not be more proud of this team and what they accomplished. The 2026 Lions made history for Minerva Baseball and gave our community a season to remember.
Thank you to our players, coaches, families, and fans for your incredible support!
It is a Great Day to be a Minerva Lion! π¦
