It was a banner day for Minerva golf, as both the boys and girls teams secured Eastern Buckeye Conference (EBC) titles in dominant fashion.


At Pleasant View Golf Course, the Minerva boys out Alliance, posting a team score of 340 to Alliance’s 349. Carrollton (350) and West Branch (351) were close behind, while Salem (361) and Marlington (371) rounded out the standings. Leading the Lions were Reid Spall (80), Tyson Fetty (83), Will Blackburn (83), and Benjamin Smith (94).


Meanwhile, the Lady Lions shined at Zoar Village Golf Club, firing a 352 to outpace Marlington (376), Carrollton (394), Alliance (416), and West Branch (423). Minerva also dominated the individual leaderboard, with Peyton Beaumariage earning medalist honors with an 81. Emery Sell (86), Savanna Bartley (92), and Delaney Sell (93) also finished in the Top 10.


In total, Minerva golfers combined for a historic 32 match wins during this championship season, underscoring the program’s strength and depth.


“It’s a great day to be a Minerva Lion,” shared Athletic Director Garth Evans, as both teams celebrated their titles and a record-breaking year.
