The Minerva High School Drama Club invites audiences to step into the jury room for an evening of suspense, powerful performances, and thought-provoking drama as students present their fall production of 12 Angry Jurors, November 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2026, at 7 p.m. in the Minerva High School Auditorium.
Adapted by Sherman L. Sergel from Reginald Rose’s Emmy Award-winning television drama, 12 Angry Jurors explores the complexities of justice, prejudice, and the responsibility that comes with determining another person’s fate.
Following the closing arguments of a murder trial, twelve jurors are tasked with deciding the fate of a young defendant accused of killing his father. A guilty verdict carries the ultimate punishment: death. What initially seems like a straightforward decision quickly becomes a tense, emotional examination of the evidence when one juror raises questions about the case.
As deliberations continue, personalities clash, tempers flare, and deeply held beliefs are challenged. What unfolds is a gripping exploration of human nature, reminding audiences that justice requires more than simply reaching a verdict. It demands courage, compassion, and the willingness to question one’s own assumptions.
Although the original story debuted more than 70 years ago, its themes remain remarkably relevant today. Through intense dialogue, emotional confrontations, and unexpected moments of reflection, 12 Angry Jurors challenges audiences to consider the importance of reasonable doubt and the power of one individual to stand against the majority.
This year’s production features a talented cast of Minerva High School students, including Brooklyn Scott as the Foreman, Bailey Price as Juror #2, Josephine Evans as Juror #3, Oliver Speelman as Juror #4, Alexis Bryan as Juror #5, Maddy Standing as Juror #6, Molly Miller as Juror #7, Sam Speelman as Juror #8, Genevieve Galarneau as Juror #9, Josh Davidson as Juror #10, Caroline Repella as Juror #11, and Jillian Willis as Juror #12. Additional cast members include Addy Kocher as the Judge, Langston Richard as the Guard, and Everett Pancoast as the Clerk.
