The Minerva Local School District was awarded $5,000 as part of the Ohio School Bus Safety Grant program. This program provided funds to schools for upgrading existing buses with advanced safety features.
MLSD applied the award funds towards six (6) illuminated LED-enhanced stop signs. Our bus mechanics were able to quickly install the signs. Too often, commuters will continue to drive by a bus when it is stopped and in the process of loading or unloading students.
This upgrade will make our buses more visible on the road, ultimately making the ride to and from school even safer!
