Principal's Message

Brett Yeagley
Principal

As your Principal, I want to personally welcome each student and parent to Minerva High School. I am honored to be a part of such a caring and professional staff.  Our goal is exactly as it is stated in our district motto: "Every Child, Every Minute, Every Day."

At Minerva High School, we strive to provide a safe and inviting environment in which to learn.  We believe that all students can and will have success.  We believe that each student has strengths that they can use to learn. We have high expectations for all students and believe that those expectations can be reached.  We will work with each student to help them develop a plan for their life after high school.  Our Mission is for each student who leaves Minerva High School to be prepared to either:

1. Further their education at a college or technical school

2. Enter the work force with a skill they have acquired through R.G. Drage, our career technical school.

3. Serve our nation in the United States Military.

As we strive to help our students reach these goals we are very excited to announce our partnerships with Kent State Stark, The University of Akron, and The University of Mount Union.  Through these three universities, Minerva students are able to earn 41 college credit hours without leaving our high school campus.  Additionally, we currently have approximately 50% of our current juniors and seniors earning an Industry Recognized Credential at our Career Technical Center, R.G. Drage.

At Minerva High School, we have clear expectations for all students. Our focus is on making sure that our students are where they are supposed to be, doing what they are supposed to do, and treating other people the right way.  We ask our students to show respect for themselves and others, behave accordingly, and take pride in who they are. In short, we ask our students to live their lives with the “Heart of a Lion."

I very much look forward to working with our dedicated staff in serving the outstanding students and families of our community.  Please do not hesitate to call me at (330) 868-4134 or email me yeagleyb@minerva.sparcc.org if there is anything that I can do to assist you or your child.

Go Lions,
Brett Yeagley
Minerva High School Principal
