A NOTE ABOUT SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Scholarships must be filled out completely, legibly and in ink. No applications in pencil will be accepted.
  • Also, if you require any documentation from the Guidance Office, please allow two days and plan accordingly.

Carroll Electric Cooperative Scholarships - Scholarships will be given to graduating seniors whose parents receive electricity from Carroll Electric.  Visit http://www.cecpower.coop/content/scholarships for applications.  Applications are due Feb 01, 2019.

Minerva Alumni Scholarship - Applicants must be alumni of Minerva High School currently attending a college, university or technical school.  Deadline to apply is March 20, 2019.

Minerva Education Foundation and Alumni Association Scholarships - All seniors are encouraged to apply.  Applications are due to the MHS Guidance Office no later than      8:00 a.m. on March 20, 2019.

 

 

 


COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

BBB Life Lessons Essay Contest - all seniors are eligible for this essay-based contest.  Deadline to apply is March 29, 2019.

Seven Seventeen Credit Union Scholarships - Various scholarships will be awarded for members as well as non-members.  Visit www.717cu.com/scholarships to larn mor about th different scholarships available and to download applications.  Applications are due by March 01, 2019.

Dream...Innovate...Grow Trade School & College Scholarship - Seniors who plan to enroll in a trade school or college in the fall of 2019 can apply.  Students must have a 2.5 gpa or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Stark Community Foundation Scholarship and Loan Program
Stark Community Foundation is one of Stark County’s major sources of college scholarship support. Visit the website to learn about all of the scholarship opportunities.

 

 

STATE & NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

 

B. Davis Scholarship - all seniors are encouraged to apply for this national scholarship.  Visit www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships to apply.  Deadline is May 24, 2019.

OAPSE/AFSCME Memorial Scholarship - Seniors who plan to attend college and whose parent or legal guardian is a member in good standing of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees are encouraged to apply.  Download an application at www.oapse.org
Application deadline is March 01, 2019.

William D. Squires Educational Fund Scholarship - Applicants must have a minimum       3.20 GPA and display financial need (EFC of FAFSA must be less than $7,000).  Visit www.wmdsquiresfoundation.org to apply.  Deadline to apply is April 05, 2019.

Stark Community Foundation Scholarship and Loan Program
Stark Community Foundation is one of Stark County’s major sources of college scholarship support. Visit the website to learn about all of the scholarship opportunities.  They also offer low interest loans to students from Stark County high schools.

Canton Student Loan Foundation - Low interest student loans to Stark County graduates who have at least a 2.00 gpa and pursue post high school education on a full-time basis. Visit the website at www.cantonstudentloan.org for more information.
